If nothing else, the amount of information on this site
will tell you that Christ Church is bursting with
ministries and programs which help make up the wonderful
church family we are. We know that God has designed us with
different gifts and passions and we invite you to dip into
these pages with the anticipation that God may have a
delightful surprise waiting for you to open.
We also know that life is full of seasons for all of us.
Sometimes we have more time to share, at other times less;
some seasons are close to home, others are more
outreaching; some seasons are steady and rhythmic, others
much more chaotic. We have tried to anticipate your needs
and questions in the following pages by including the kinds
of information that would make it easier for you to
prayerfully consider becoming involved in one of these
established ministries or in birthing a brand new one.
Next, we offer these pages to newcomers and members of long
standing alike as a map of how and where God is working
through our congregation in the community, the nation and
the world. We are hoping you will find the next stop on
your journey with Christ in these pages and join the fellow
laborers who are already about the Father's business of
serving the poor, reaching the unreached, and sharing the
love of God.
We urge everyone to consider this manual as a personal
prayer book. Within its pages is the life of our church.
Tuck this document in your Bible, your car, or even your
bathroom, and whenever you have a few minutes, cover these
ministries, their leaders, the church staff, the volunteers
and those they serve, in prayer. What a wonderful gift that
would be for all of us!
Lastly, this manual is a labor of love. As we go to press
we know we have made mistakes, left some things out and
some things in. We know that as sure as the sun shines a
change has happened in leadership, times or dates, phone
numbers, or emails. Ah, such is life. Please don't judge us
too harshly, correct us gently, and give us feedback so we
can come closer to the mark next time!
All of us who have worked on this manual have been so
blessed to realize the depth and breadth of your service to
God and this church. Thank you for all that you are and all
