for the delivery of the 2nd of the 3 cows that Christ Church purchased through the MOO campaign…
actually just the meat, not the cow!
Thursday, August 7 @ 11 am
The rancher will be delivering to Metro Caring on Thursday morning, August 7 around 11 am. We hope that you can be there. Here is the schedule for that morning:
Around 11 am—beef will be delivered, followed by a brief tour of Metro Caring and a short presentation from Metro Caring staff on how they work with local farmers and ranchers to bring local food to the community, and then the ranchers from Grama Grass will answer any questions about their sustainable practices.
This is a great opportunity to actually see how our support of this Ministry Partner is put into action! It is also a great time for our under-13 youth to visit—they will be allowed to come into the Market and warehouse, which is not allowed for young folks with the Market is open.
Metro Caring is closed to the community on the 7th, so feel free to park in the parking lot. Metro Caring’s address is: 1100 E. 18th Avenue, Denver. The parking lot is on the south side of the building off of Downing.
If you would like a ride, please feel free to contact Janice Woodward (Janice.L.Woodward@gmail.com). And for anyone wishing to have a chance for lunch and more conversation, please join Chuck and Janice at Café Miriam-Uptown. It is short walk down 17th Avenue and is wonderful café run by a dear friend of ours from Morocco. Check out the website and you will see the great menu.
