As we look back on the past year, we are deeply grateful for the faithfulness, generosity, and resilience of the Christ Church community. Your commitment to worship, service, and to one another has allowed our ministries to grow and flourish.
Over the past two years of The Narthex project, Christ Church Denver has learned something essential: the question facing the church is no longer whether digital ministry matters, but how it can be theologically grounded, strategically focused, and pastorally honest.
Fr. John Wengrovius officially resigned from his position as Associate for Parish Development at Christ Church on December 31, 2025. Below is his resignation letter to Fr. Terry, dated November 19, 2025.
Christ Church aims to form a community of deeply-committed, whole-life disciples of Jesus for the world. This is how we put action to that vision.
As part of the Vestry Strategic Plan for ongoing growth, creating new opportunities for worship was a major activity in 2025. New weekly services, additional holiday services, and expanded Sunday mornings have all contributed to higher attendance this year.

2025 was a year of significant change in our Music department. Dan Dufford, our Music Director, was dismissed from his role during the year.
The Prayer Ministries at Christ Church exist to connect people more deeply with God and one another through intentional prayer. Rooted in the heartbeat of Jesus’ life, this ministry supports
Formation is about more than just instruction. In alignment with our Whole-Life Discipleship Manual of Practice we seek to offer transformative opportunities in all seven areas of discipleship. This includes scripture studies, service opportunities, and small group connection.
But Jesus said, “Let the children come to me, and do not stop them, for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.” Whole-Life Discipleship is the name.
The formation of our youth is essential to our formation as a community. Whole-life discipleship is initiated in childhood and invigorated in young adulthood.
Christ Church Denver has been blessed with a beautiful building and lovely grounds, and the Facilities team considers it a privilege to be able to maintain, improve and manage our property, both inside and out.
Christ Church finished the year with a net income of $3,028 after intentionally investing reserve funds to expand our worship and restructure our Christian Formation department, reflecting our commitment to steward resources prayerfully for ministry while preserving long-term financial stability.
Outreach has two issues at the heart and purpose of the ministry. The first is to provide support for our eight Ministry Partners, and for other ministries at Christ Church as the need arises.
Christ Church strives to be a warmly welcoming community that invites folks into the full life of the church through connection with each other and deepening relationships.

At the heart of Treasureland Preschool is a deep commitment to relationship-centered ministry. We believe children flourish when they are known, loved, and supported within a strong community of teachers and families, grounded in trust, care, and shared purpose.

2025 has been a year of joys and challenges for the McGugans. My son was married this past June. My daughter, Lydia and her husband, bought their first house in Littleton. I hope to be promoted from handyman to grandpa.
