Children's process art created through exploration and curiosity
At the heart of Treasureland Preschool is a deep commitment to relationship-centered ministry. We believe children flourish when they are known, loved, and supported within a strong community of teachers and families, grounded in trust, care, and shared purpose.
The past year was marked by meaningful growth and steady strengthening of our community. One of the most significant indicators of health in 2025 was increased teacher retention. As relationships deepened and systems of support became more consistent, our educators were able to grow in confidence, collaboration, and joy in their work with children. This continuity mattered deeply to our students, who benefit from stable, nurturing relationships with trusted adults.
A highlight of the year was a process art project that invited children to explore materials over time, follow their curiosity, and express their ideas without a prescribed outcome. This experience reflected our commitment to developmentally appropriate, play-based learning and offer families a meaningful window into how children think, create, and make meaning. The resulting artwork now hangs in the preschool welcome center, serving as a visible expression of our shared values and collective work. Beyond the display itself, the story of this project has become a catalyst for ongoing professional development, helping our teaching team reflect together on process learning, documentation, and the ways children construct understanding over time.
Treasureland Preschool is made possible through the dedication of our teachers and the partnership of our families, who entrust us with their children and actively engage in our learning community. We are also grateful for the support and encouragement of church leadership and volunteers who champion this ministry and help create a welcoming environment for all.
Looking ahead to 2026, we are hopeful and excited. We look forward to continued growth in our relationships, deeper collaboration with families, and thoughtful improvements to our learning spaces that will further support children’s daily experiences. As we move into the coming year, we remain committed to nurturing the whole child and strengthening the community that makes Treasureland such a meaningful place to grow, learn, and belong.
