set free prison ministries

A Bible Correspondence Course for prisoners in Colorado, Nebraska and Wyoming jails and prisons.

Set Free is 100% volunteer and relies on donations to support the cost of postage, curriculum, office supplies and rent.  There is no cost to the inmate or the prison, the ministry bears all expenses. We rely on volunteers to grade and respond to the lessons and also volunteers work in the office doing computer work and book and lesson organizing and ordering.

Here’s how you can help

  • Volunteer weekly on Wednesday

A recent testimony from an inmate while doing their lesson:

Question: Are you lost or saved? “I was lost but now I am saved. It is through my belief in the Lord Jesus Christ and true sorrow of my past actions that made me repent so that I will now choose to thank and act righteously in the future. “

This ministry sends out Bible study lessons to inmates and they return their answer sheet for the volunteers to grade and comment on, guiding and encouraging each person. Set Free then sends them the next Bible study lesson book and the answer sheet. There are 65 lesson books plus 20 advanced courses developed by Emmaus Correspondence School founded in 1942.
